First Session
Having spoken to each other by phone to arrange the first session I hope you will already have a sense of me, but until we meet you cannot know whether you will feel comfortable working with me.
The first session I call an assessment as it offers you the opportunity to assess whether you feel I am the right person for you. Please ask me anything you feel will help you in that process. As you share what has happened in your life that has brought you to therapy, I will gain a better understanding of what you are looking for and whether I feel I can help. How I am with you will also give you a flavour of how I work.
Together we can assess whether how I work would be a good fit for you.
My Location
My therapy practice is based in Ovingham, Prudhoe; just north of the Tyne and half-way between Newcastle and Hexham. I work daytime and evenings Monday to Thursday. Please contact me for current availability.
My practice can be accessed from Hexham and villages surrounding Prudhoe via train, bus or car.
Whilst my preferred way of working would be to be in a room together with someone, working on-line has been an effective option during this pandemic. If you have specific reasons that would make coming to my office difficult I would be happy to discuss the possibility of working with you online.
If you have a specific question about psychotherapy or counselling that is not answered within these pages, please do email me and I will try to answer you by the next working day.
Fees
My standard fee in Ovingham is £50.00 for a 50 minute session. I allow an hour for the initial session for which I also charge £50.00. The fee can be paid by bank transfer prior to our appointment or with cash on the day.
